Environmental Laboratory Operations / Marketing Manager

Full-Time Position in Myersville, MD.

We are seeking an individual for a senior-level position to join a rapidly growing network of environmental testing laboratories. This individual’s responsibility will be to manage the daily operations and staff of the local laboratory and regionally market the testing capabilities of the local location as well as the entire laboratory network.

Requirements

BS degree in Chemistry or other science related degree with 4 years of industry experience. Masters or Ph.D. degree is preferred. The candidate must have excellent marketing, management, leadership, oral and written communication, time management, and organizational skills and the ability to maintain open and timely communication with the Staff regarding sales leads, market challenges, competitive activity, and other relevant issues of benefit to the organization.

Working knowledge of Maryland, West Virginia, and Virginia environmental regulations and environmental testing requirements a plus. Previous environmental testing industry experience is necessary.

Duties

·oversee the daily operations of the environmental laboratory

·manage and mentor staff

·develop relationships with existing and prospective clients

·identify new prospective clients and projects

·manage sales of the laboratory network’s analytical services

·oversee preparation of price quotations and responses to bid invitations

·define account strategies

·develop and implement plans for achieving sales goals and margin targets
